We call upon you, O God; hear our prayer.  We raise our voices in glad adoration.  You have brought your people out of bondage; you ministered to Jesus when he was tempted by evil.  You know when your people are afflicted, and understand their estrangement when they are alone and dismayed.  We pause along our journey of faithfulness to bow down before you and worship your name.
