For the one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church in all four quarters of the world, we pray:

LORD, HAVE MERCY.

For the successors of Jude the apostle and of all the holy apostles, we pray:

LORD, HAVE MERCY.

For the faith once for all entrusted to the saints, we pray:

LORD, HAVE MERCY.

For the spiritual and temporal welfare of all faithful Christians, w pray:

LORD, HAVE MERCY.

For our urgent needs in time of great difficulty, we pray:

LORD, HAVE MERCY.

(Pause for prayers of intercession.)

By the prayers of the great Mother of God, Mary most holy, of St. Jude the apostle, and of all the saints, we pray:

LORD, HAVE MERCY.

Let us give thanks to God our Father for all the gifts so freely bestowed upon us:

For the beauty and wonder of your creation,

WE THANK YOU, O LORD.

For all that is gracious in the lives of men and women, revealing the image of Christ,

WE THANK YOU, O LORD.

For our daily food and drink, our homes and families, and our friends,

WE THANK YOU, O LORD.

For minds to think, and hearts to love, and hand hands to serve,

WE THANK YOU, O LORD.

For health and strength to work, and leisure to rest and play,

WE THANK YOU, O LORD.

For the brave and courageous, who are patient in suffering and faithful in adversity,

WE THANK YOU, O LORD.

For valiant seekers after truth, liberty, and justice,

WE THANK YOU, O LORD.

For the communion of saints in all times and places,

WE THANK YOU, O LORD.

Above all we give you thanks for the great mercies and promises given to us in Christ Jesus our Lord;

TO HIM BE PRAISE AND GLORY, WITH YOU, O FATHER,

AND THE HOLY SPIRIT, NOW AND FOR EVER.  AMEN.

May the LORD bless us and take care of us;

May the LORD be kind and gracious to us;

May the LORD look on us with favor and give us peace.

AMEN.

Lord Jesus, healer of our souls and bodies,

during your life on earth you went about doing good,

healing every manner of sickness and disease,

strengthening, curing, comforting, and counseling.

Healer of our broken souls and bodies

and enemy of death and disease,

lay your healing hand on Name,

and by your grace restore him/her to good health

that he/she may praise you without ceasing

and serve you among your holy people

for many years to come.

Blessed be Jesus, friend of the human race!

AMEN.

May God the Father bless us and keep us,

God the Son lay his healing hands upon us,

God the Holy Spirit strengthen us and console us.

May the Holy and Undivided Trinity guard our body,

save our soul, and bring us in safety to our heavenly home.

AMEN.

Lord Jesus, teacher of righteousness;

GIVE US TRUE HAPPINESS AND EVERY BLESSING.

Bless the poor and humble in spirit;

MAKE THEM INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN.

Bless those who mourn for lost blessings;

BE THEIR COMFORT IN TIME OF TROUBLE.

Bless those who are meek and humble of heart;

LET THEM INHERIT WHAT GOD HAS PROMISED.

Bless those who hunger and thirst for what God requires;

AND FILL THEM WITH DIVINE WHOLENESS.

Bless those who are merciful toward others;

MAY GOD BE MERCIFUL TO THEM IN TURN.

Bless those who are pure in heart;

LET THEM SEE GOD IN THE LIGHT OF GLORY.

Bless those who make peace on earth;

AND CALL THEM THE CHILDREN OF GOD.

Bless those who are persecuted for being holy;

GIVE THEM POSSESSION OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD.

Bless those who are slandered and insulted for your sake;

MAKE THEM HAPPY AND GLAD, FOR THEIR REWARD IS GREAT IN THEIR HEAVENLY HOME.

From Novenas:  Prayers of Intercession and Devotion, edited by William G. Storey (Chicago:  Loyola Press, 2005), page 46:

Lord Jesus Christ,

as we who worship you

in the Blessed Sacrament of the Altar,

may we discover your help in time of need.

(Here we state our needs.)

Just as your presence is everlasting

may your help sustain us in every necessity;

you live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit,

one God, for ever and ever.

AMEN.

May the heart of Jesus

in the Blessed Sacrament

be praised, adored, and loved,

with grateful affection,

at every moment,

in all the tabernacles of the world,

even unto the end of time.

AMEN.

From Novenas:  Prayers of Intercession and Devotion, edited by William G. Storey (Chicago:  Loyola Press, 2005), page 35:

Jesus, Savior of the world,

in your Holy Gospel you tell us:

“Ask, and it will be given you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you” (Matthew 7:7).

Moved by your divine promises,

I come before you to ask

(Here we state our needs.)

I address you as my Savior,

whose heart is an inexhaustible source of grace and mercy.

Sacred Heart of Jesus,

friend of the human race,

consoler of the afflicted,

strength of those overwhelmed by their trials,

light of those who walk in darkness

or in the shadow of death,

I put my whole trust in you.

Blessed be Jesus Christ, true God and true man.

AMEN.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, have + mercy on me and mine.

AMEN.

From Novenas:  Prayers of Intercession and Devotion, edited by William G. Storey (Chicago:  Loyola Press, 2005), pages 11-12:

Creator and Sustainer of the universe,

you maintain the billions of galaxies

and dark matter of interstellar space.

In your wisdom you created everything that exists,

and especially the human race,

to acknowledge your power and your majesty.

In your mercy may we, your humble creatures,

bow down in adoration before you,

repent of our forgetfulness of you,

and lay before you all our needs.

(Here we state our needs.)

Merciful and mighty God,

hear us and help us, we humbly pray,

through the merits of Jesus the Messiah,

the one and only savior of the world,

who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,

one God, for ever and ever.

AMEN.

May almighty God,

the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit,

+ bless us and keep us, now and forever.

AMEN.
