1.  Dear Lord, who sought at dawn of day

The solitary woods to pray,

In quietness we come to ask

Thy presence for the daily task.

2.  O Master, who with kindly face

At noonday trod the market place,

We crave a brother’s smile and song

When mingling in the lovely throng.

3.  Thou wearied Christ, at eventide

Renewed upon the mountain side,

Restore us with thy mystic night

Before the falling of the night.

4.  Strong Pilot, who at midnight hour

Could calm the sea with gentle power,

Grant us the skill to aid the bark

Of those who drift in storm and dark.

1.  O God, Creator, in whose hand

The rolling planets lie,

Give skill to those who now command

The ships that brave the sky.

2.  Strong Spirit, burning with mankind

On missions high to dare,

Safe pilot all who seek to find

Their haven thro’ the air.

3.  Calm Christ, courageous in Thy quest,

Whose light led men afar,

Illume their pathways with Thy blest

And peaceful natal star.

4.  Enfolding Life, bear on Thy wing

Thro’ storm and dark and sun,

The men in air who closer bring

The nations into one.

1.  Strong, righteous man of Galilee,

Robed with thy peace we follow thee:

In temple court, thy cleansing rod;

On Pharisees, the scorn of God.

Robed with thy peace we follow thee,

Strong, righteous man of Galilee.

2.  Firm, peaceful Man of Galilee,

Girt with thy strength we follow thee:

Not to revenge, but heal and pray,

To turn the cheek and tribute pay:

Girt with thy strength we follow thee,

Firm, peaceful man of Galilee.

3.  Calm, suff’ring Man of Galilee,

Clad in thy grace we follow thee:

Love at the well, share Martha’s loss,

Forgive the nails, and take the cross.

Clad in thy grace we follow thee,

Calm, suff’ring Man of Galilee.

4.  God’s peaceful Man of Galilee,

Love’s triumph, we shall follow thee:

To crumble ev’ry bound’ry wall,

Build highways to the hearts of all.

Love’s triumph, we shall follow thee,

God’s peaceful man of Galilee.
