Hail, gracious Source of every good,

Our Saviour and defence,

Thou art our glory, and our shield,

Our help and confidence.

+++++

When anxious fears disturb the breast,

When threatening foes are nigh,

To thee we pour our deep complaint,

To thee we for succour fly.

+++++

Jesus, or Lord–our only hope,

Before thy throne we bow:

Thou art our strength–and thou the Rock

Whence living waters flow.
