George Alfred Taylor Rygh (1860-1942) was a U.S. Norwegian Lutheran pastor who alternated between serving in parishes and teaching.  Many of his translations appeared in The Lutheran Hymnary (1913).


And Now We Must Bid One Another Farewell:

O Happy Day When We Shall Stand:

Heavenly Spirit, All Others Transcending:

He That Believes and Is Baptized:

Speak, O Lord, Thy Servant Heareth:

O Light of God’s Most Wondrous Love:

All Who Believe and Are Baptized:
