Hymn Source = The Hymn Book of the Anglican Church of Canada and the United Church of Canada (1971)

Words by Alfred Robert George (1878-1961)

The hymnal tells me the years of George’s birth and death.  I can find no other information about him.

1.  O all ye far-spreading lakes, praise ye the Lord.

O all ye deep blue waters, praise ye the Lord.

O all ye little shining waves, praise ye the Lord.

O all ye far-off gleaming birch trees, praise ye the Lord.

2.  O all ye sands and burly rocks, praise ye the Lord.

O all ye islands and little hills, praise ye the Lord.

O all ye winding trails and beaten roads, praise ye the Lord.

O all ye battling winter creeks, praise ye the Lord.

3.  O all ye keen airs and shouting winds, praise ye the Lord.

O all ye clear skies and couching clouds, praise ye the Lord.

O all men with thankful voice, praise ye the Lord.

O all ye debtors to his love, praise ye the Lord.
