Without you I can do nothing to free myself

from my habitual return to fear,

to lack of hope that my life has no meaning

beyond this meandering passage from my birth to my death,

feeling somehow guilty that I have not been true to myself,

that even your witness cannot save me.

Open my mind and heart this Easter to the reality that the Holy Spirit

empowers me to free myself in truth by love and service for others.

Set me free to love and serve.
