Prayer by Jonathan Montaldo
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I shall understand your sacred mission to the world
only by acknowledging my poverty,
my imprisonment in a daily round of desires for empty things,
my habitual blindness to who I am
and who you truly are for me.
Help me understand your work in me.
You have come to liberate me just as I am.
You love me just as I am.
You will heal me just as I am.
Today I know my sins and renounce them.
I affirm my will to follow your way
and be more truly your disciple.
