First Sunday of Advent:

God of redeeming grace, you lead us in paths of righteousness and make your ways known through the birth of a child.  We praise your goodness and rely on your wisdom.  Accept the sounds of rejoicing we raise to you, and guide our hearing as we seek your instruction.  Grant that we may not only worship you joyfully but follow all the days of our lives.

Second Sunday of Advent:

You who are a refining fire and a purifying agent, we praise you that in Christ you make us whole again.  We gather to hear his coming announced, and anxiously await the dawn of your redeeming grace.  Fill our mouths laughter at the prospect of our liberation, and our tongues with shouts of joy at the news of our redemption.  You continue to do great things for us, O God.  Therefore we come into your presence with singing.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Third Sunday of Advent:

You put a glad song on our lips, O God of salvation, for in you we can trust and not be afraid.  In Christ is announced our source of deliverance; through him the lame walk and the outcast are praised.  Soon you will gather your people for a festival of salvation; we assemble now in Christ’s name to rejoice and boast of your goodness.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Fourth Sunday of Advent:

O Shepherd of Israel, who comes forth one who shall feed your flock, we gather as those who dwell in the folds of your embrace and care.  Your care envelops us like swaddling cloths wrapped around a babe in a manger.  Your countenance shines like a star which led the shepherds one night.  We behold your radiance as we enter your sanctuary and praise your name for the Christ who brings us salvation.
